Generically Modified Fools – an old series on Jagadguru

We all know about the total lack of understanding of science, logic & reasoning by Jagadguru. If he had understood the basics of those things, he wouldn’t have become Jagadguru in the first place. These posts has clearly show that Jagadguru has a biological defect which has stopped his neurological evolution at the level of our ancestral apes. This lesser evolved species has great difficulty in understanding how science, reason, logic & the Free Market works. What will happen if this lesser-evolved individual with biological defects tackles very important scientific issues, such as genetically modified(GM) food? He will basically find the most popular articles written in the commercial press about GM food, then pretend that he has superior knowledge about GM, and then find a way to discredit the Free Market with those articles . I haven’t written about how scientists and economists (of the Nobel-prize-winning kind) approach problems, because I am neither an economist, nor a scientist, and therefore am not pompous or stupid enough to speak for them. I will, however, list questions which have no bearing on the issue whatsoever. You can find these questions listed in the link titled ‘reference’ above.

If a scientist considers the issue of GM food, s/he will not consider the following aspects

  • Is the technology precise? (Anybody who actually has a science background would know that there is no such thing as ‘precise’. You talk about ‘LEVELS of Precision’, i.e. do we measure to the nearest metre, the centimetre, the nanometre?). This question is clearly asked by clueless morons, pretending to have human intelligence.
  • Is the understanding of science complete in the field? (This is by far the most idiotic question on the planet. Nobody has, nor ever will possess ‘complete understanding’ of any Science. There will always be a few unaswered questions out there)
  • Is this food evolutionarily sustainable? (This is a faker’s attempt to sound knowledgeable - using big words. What does evolutionarily sustainable mean? That the food will be able to evolve? )
  • Is the nutritional value of GM foods good enough to solve the world’s nutritional needs?

If the same issue was attacked by Jagadguru, he would start with the assumption  that anything sold by a corporation, or promoted in an economics textbook is wrong. Then he will wonder:

  • How can I twist this information to make it show Free Markets in a bad light
  • What new insults can I come up with, to make myself look good
  • Free Markets are bad. In their efforts to save businesses, Free markets kill people. How do we get rid of the Free markets altogether?
  • What are the scientific terms we should push on our blog to make it look like we’re ’smart’?
  • How do we rid the world of reason, logic and independent thought?

and so on. Then, he will go about blabbering on his blog.

Genetics is a branch of science. Therefore, the discovery, and the research related to it is open to all. Nobody has the right to decide what is, or isn’t good for all of Humanity. The various examples over the course of history prove that one cannot simply ban knowledge and learning as one chooses. Whether or not you ban the study of Nuclear Physics, someone, somewhere will discover it. If we burnt all the books on nuclear physics today, we may be bereft of the knowledge of Nuclear Science for maybe 10, 20, 30, 100 years, but eventually, someone somewhere would discover it again. Therefore, instead of outright banning of anything, it should be allowed to continue, under the condition that whatever research is conducted, it is openly available to all, with some form of compensation built in for the discoverer(s).  Free Markets can help in ensuring that beneficial technologies can allocated efficiently, for the benefit of society. Take cellphones, for example, or salt, or shoes, or any number of various goods and services that we cannot do without. None of these came about due to ‘Scientific Consensus’, whatever the fuck that means. They came about due to humanity’s Greed. (not sure if Jagadguru has the ability to even comprehend this funademental). Instead, if we listen to Jagadguru on this issue, Human civilization is doomed. Jagadguru is like a 4th grader, throwing tantrums for his survival. If people like him are allowed to do blabber on like he does, the world couldn’t really give a shit, because he’s too clueless to be taken seriously. In order to expose the Jagadguru for what he is (a moron), I am going to do nothing more than what I am already doing. I don’t even need to offer explanations about Jagadguru’s stupidity. It is on display at all times.

Genetics and Molecular Biology are branches of science. Before anyone puts up a post about GM Foods, they should, at the very least, understand the basics of genetics. Unfortunately, Jagadguru used to hide into his school’s restrooms during his biology classes, and over hear the biology students from nearby cubicles. Do we really want to put our food security in the hands of such people? Without doubt, Genetics has lots of potential.  GM Foods are in fact fruits of great scientific understanding. The best way to distrubute the fruits of this understanding is to let the people who will be making use of this technology decide, in the simplest way possible – voting with their dollars. This is called ‘Revealed Preference Theory’. Another basic idea which Jagadguru would never be able to comprehend.

Let’s look at a scenario made possible if Jagadguru was allowed to decide on the fate of nuclear power. His thinking would be as follows. Nuclear power is a dangerous technology that will prevent me for masturbating for long periods of time. So therefore, Nuclear technology should be banned. I don’t care if Nuclear power allows millions of people to have access to cheaper and more reliable electricity. I want to masturbate dammit! So let’s ban Nuclear Power! Yada, Yada, Yada……. Anyone with basic understanding of how nuclear energy operates will know that the 2 accidents that have occured with nucelar power stations happened more out of experiments and such like, rather than the day-to-day running of nuclear plants. Nuclear Energy has helped many countries in the West and the East deliver stable, efficient and abundant power to their people. But because Jagadguru wants India to remain a poor country so that he may be able to continue blogging he wants it banned. Jagadguru’s solution vis a vis GM foods is almost similar to this. In order to save humanity and the world for the future generations from Jagadguru’s Self-Love, I am going to continue posting Jagadguru blog translations, so that they may be palatable to all of us. Good Night and Good Luck.

Genetically Modified food has scientific and economic merit

While Europe is cracking down hard on genetically modified (GM) food, the Indian government is busy removing the remaining barriers to its introduction. Wired Science talks about the economic complications surrounding GM foods. Specifically it talks about how you can’t get ‘tastier’ food by through artificial gene manipulation. It turns out that the Natural genetic modification that farmers have been doing down the centuries has achieved the desired result already, far better than a ‘quick-fix gene toggle’ could accomplish. Naturally, this is because ‘taste’ is a very subjective attribute, and it would be quite difficult to identify any one gene, or set of genes that controls the taste of a Tomato. However, GM is good for producing certain kinds of pest-resistants crops, which would help save the environment by limiting the use of pesticide, and also improve farmer incomes as they wouldn’t lose their crops to pests like the Jagadguru Fruit Fly. Higher crop yields means cheaper food in the long run, which means that low-income consumers would also benefit from this.

It is time for the Jagadguru to learn to read English, instead of trying to put a spin on an article. Trying to impose biases are meaningless and we can achieve better results with an objective, analytical, critical and independent mind. Hopefully, this education goes a long way in saving the lives of Jagadguru, Indian Farmers, and Indian consumers.

P.S. Artifical GM might even help turn on the ‘Intelligence’ gene in the Jagadguru. There’s got to be some scientific and economic merit in that
